Manual Fiber Optic Transmitter (Gen 2) for DL and DLM Housings

The Manual Fiber Optic Transmitter (Gen 2) is designed to replace the Ikelite flash bulkhead with this compact, independently sealed device for reliable fibre optic triggering of a compatible fibre optic underwater strobe. High frame rate burst shooting is supported when used with an Ikelite DS160, DS161, DS162, DS230 or DS232 Strobe and High Sensitivity Optical Converter #4405. This transmitter is powered by two CR2032 lithium single-use or rechargeable batteries (not included) and includes a built-in power-save mode to prolong battery life. Expect at least a week of diving with average use. We always recommend travelling with a spare set of batteries.

Typical Uses

• Perfect for use with entry-level strobes that don’t have an electrical bulkhead.
• Ideal for those who prefer fibre optic cords to eliminate extra waterproof connections.
• Allows you to disconnect your strobe cords underwater. For example, if you want to shoot some split shots using natural light at the end of a dive without the extra weight of your strobes, you can easily disconnect the fibre optic cords and use our unique quick release mount to disconnect your strobe arms.

* Housings produced before January 1, 2025 (Serial # below 81200) require a new hotshoe for use with this converter. Refer to the hotshoe compatibility table for more information.

This product is compatible with the hotshoes included with the purchase of any 200DL, 50DL, and select 200DLM underwater housings shipped on or after January 1, 2025 (serial number 81200 and higher).
