We are delighted by the level of performance that Canon provides in this small form factor. No other camera manufacturer comes close to the imaging quality or ergonomics of the R7 camera combined with this compact Ikelite underwater housing.
Released in 2022, the Canon EOS R7 features a 33-megapixel full-frame APS-C sensor, 4K video up to 60p (with crop), and in-body image stabilization up to 7 stops. The R7 incorporates Canon’s advanced AF tracking system and is capable of continuous shooting up to 30 frames per second (fps). A battery life rating of 660 shots per charge when using the camera’s rear LCD is perfectly adequate for a full day of diving.
The Ikelite 200DLM underwater housing is designed for the most streamlined form factor possible and provides ergonomic access to all important camera functions at depths up to 60 meters (200 feet). The Ikelite 200DLM housing is approximately half the size and weight of housings for full-frame cameras like the Sony a7 IV or Canon EOS R5. A built-in Ikelite bulkhead and manual flash hotshoe allow attachment of an Ikelite underwater strobe out of the box plus expandability to TTL exposure with the optional DL5 DS Link TTL Converter.
Designed with control and lightweight performance in mind
No other manufacturer makes professional functionality so accessible. Ikelite housings are designed from the ground up to provide full camera control and connection for external strobe lighting out of the box. Advanced features including TTL lighting exposure, enhanced magnifying viewfinders, and HDMI 2.0 support are available as needed.
The Ikelite DL-series lens ports are optimized to be the lightest on the market with superb image quality. The materials chosen for Ikelite housings and lens ports are chosen to maximize durability and corrosion resistance while minimizing travel weight and cost.
Pre-Dive Checks
There is no greater assurance than being able to see your camera and o-ring seal through the back of the housing. Ikelite’s signature open-groove design suspends the rear o-ring in a natural position that is easier to maintain and more reliable than forcing the o-ring into a channel. Once the housing is closed you can see the o-ring form a solid, waterproof seal.
We recommend adding the optional Vacuum Pump with Gauge # 47012 to pull a vacuum on the housing and check for leaks prior to entering the water.
Construction
Ikelite’s specially formulated ABS-PC blend housing is highly durable yet significantly lighter than aluminium. The light colour keeps your camera cooler when shooting in warm, sunny environments.
Lens Support
Ikelite lens ports are the lightest on the market, yet robust and capable of standing up to rough surf.
Ikelite support a wide variety of lenses. Most popular zoom lenses and select focus rings can be engaged using simple gearing that puts adjustment right at your fingertips. Zoom and focus gears differ depending on which lens you are using. View the Ikelite Port chart

Wi-FI Transfer
Use the camera’s built-in Wi-Fi feature to download photos to another device without removing the camera from the housing. The Wi-Fi feature is only usable above water within close proximity to the connected device.
Compatibility
Unless otherwise noted, this housing does not accommodate the use of add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or other accessories.
Differences in lens and control placement prevent other camera models from being used in or adapted to this housing. We are not aware of any other models which may be used in or adapted to this housing.
